Mass Effect: Andromeda job listing reveals studio's desire to improve gun mechanics

Mass Effect: Andromeda hopes to have the gold standard in shooting mechanics thanks to a new job listing posted by Bioware. The company is adding a new spot on their team to help improve what was known as an already stellar shooting mechanic system in Mass Effect 3.

After the leaked survey revealed that the game was going to be not only titled Mass Effect: Andromeda but also an MMO-centric game, we were left wondering exactly how the game would function. Of the Mass Effect games, most fans recognize Mass Effect 2's story and exploration as the best with the combat in Mass Effect 3 blowing the first two games away. With Mass Effect: Andromeda set to focus on being very nearly an MMO with raids and AI only missions, it's only natural that shooting mechanics will be at the top of their list.

You can see the entire listing here, but an excerpt states that

This role would focus on establishing and executing on the gold standard for shooting mechanics, AI, camera, physics and other aspects related to combat, control and camera. We are hiring a Senior Gameplay Designers in all three locations Edmonton, Montreal and Austin

When I mention the MMO tendencies, be sure to read over our article from last year. It is from a leaked survey put out by Bioware. Everything we already know about the game is in the survey, plus others that have yet to be confirmed. Here, you will find the raids and races of people, etc.
