Josh Hutcherson is known for his role at Peeta Mellark in The Hunger Games and rightfully so as it's a great character. He has now signed on with Seth Rogan and Evan Goldberg to star in Future Man, a HULU series about a socially insecure gamer who is tasked with saving the world.
In a post by The Hollywood Reporter, Hutcherson will play a character Josh Futterman. Growing up, Futterman was often sick and took to video games as a result. Doing so caused him much social awkwardness, low self esteem and the inability to talk to girls. Working as a janitor by day in a sexual disease research facility, Futterman spends his nights as the #1 ranked player in Cybergeddon, a futuristic video game. Once he beats the final level, characters from the future visit Futterman, who plays Future Man in the game, and tell him they need him to use his gaming expertise to fend off an alien invasion in the future.
No exact release date is available yet, but Hutcherson will both act and produce the series with Rogen and Goldberg
