Microsoft has been working on the ability to allow the Xbox One to take screen shots for quite some time now. Phi Spencer has stated on multiple occasions that it has proven more difficult than originally thought and finally teased the working version of it late last night via Twitter. The pic shows the snap menu up on the screen and the "Press Y to save screenshot" on the side. This is added right above where the X to Record that is as you can tell. What isn't shown is how exactly you take the screen shot. Whether it's "Xbox Screenshot" or a controller command or both we do not know yet. What we do know is that the function is real and basically complete.
Hopefully with the February update rolling out, we should see this feature in the March update. As of now, Microsoft's feature request site UserVoice has 5,496 votes and shares for the screen shot feature. It's great to see how far the Xbox One has come since launch and we can't wait to see the screen shots you guys take. What's the first game you're going to screen shot? Let us know!
Nice to finally be doing this on my Xbox One dev kit. pic.twitter.com/AgDDWr3ExJ
