Destiny Faction Reputation To Be Visible in New UI Post Update

The feature request for being able to access your reputation level in Destiny is going to be added in the next update. Bungie reported in this week's update that both your faction and vendor reputation will be able to be viewed within the same screen as all of your currency. This means you won't have to go to orbit, watch a cut scene to the Tower, run through the tower and get to your vendor just to see you're 5 points away from the next reputation level.

It's one of the features that makes so much sense it's a wonder why it was not included in the first place. David Candland, the game's interface design leader, spoke on why the feature is coming now

We’re working on a lot of new features. This one is being included in 1.1.1 because it had a very low impact on our Test team. We’ve known we’ve wanted this feature since we donned our first piece of faction class gear, and the community has too. It was a no-brainer. Since reputation really affects your buying power, it made sense to put it in close proximity to your currencies. The inventory screen real estate is pretty full, so using the fly-out convention we established in the settings screen was a way to recoup some space, yet still allow tooltips for another layer of detail.”

The update is set before the end of February and will be out on all platforms. With all of Destiny's problems, some of the glaring issues are still present and it doesn't seem they'll be fixed any time soon. One very fixable issue, for example, is a quick travel to the Tower. As mentioned above, adding unnecessary waiting periods to necessary things in a game is a quick way to lose players. Hopefully this get's fixed sooner than late.r
