The time has come. It's been 24 years since the original Joe Montana football released back in 1991. I was 12 years old and remember riding my bike to my friends house or have him come to my house and spend afternoons playing away. Of course, even as a Bills fan and he a Cowboys fan, we still argued over who would play the 49ers and take bets (usually over lunch money) on who would throw more touchdown passes.
In speaking with Damon Grow, who is working on the game, it has been revealed to us that Joe Montana Football is back and will indeed be revealed at this year's E3. As you know, we've been following and researching its development since the initial teaser last year. The Hall of Fame legend himself even tweeted images of the game earlier this year indicating the game's development utilizing the Unreal Engine 4.

Follow that up with a few more tweets and images by the development team and we were left wondering "Just how far along is this game?" Well, next week we will officially know for sure as we will get our first glimpse at details surrounding the game. Our very own Eric Webster will be at E3 where he'll be speaking with Damon and those involved who will be "doing everything at E3 this year". As for now, the only official details is that it is developed using Unreal Engine 4. You can see what a player looks like in game here as originally tweeted out.
Not too many games allow you to see the pores on players skin. I mean wow, right! With all the rumors flying around, we're ecstatic to finally know we only have one week until we get to see the return of the greatest quarterback of all time to the realm of gaming. We'll be bringing you all the details you need about the game and more live from the show floor next week at E3. Remember to follow Eric on twitter as he'll be posting images and details of the event live as it happens. Also, our show that night will be two hours on Tuesday June 16th from 7 to 9Pm Eastern in order to cover all the happenings at E3 that week.
