UPDATE

We were just able to speak to Aaron Fowles, Corporate PR Manager for Konami via telephone. He confirmed that although they know the current release date (it was not revealed), both the release dates of Feb 24th and Mar 31st 2015 are incorrect.  He reported that he was aware of the listings from multiple retailers and they (Konami) have requested that those retailers remove the dates. Mr. Fowles also stated that the only official listing is sometime in 2015 as reported by Mr. Kojima previously.

Although a Reddit user has previously stated that the leaked release date for Metal Gear Solid V The Phantom Pain will be releasing February 24th, 2015, an official listing at Gamestop lists the release date as March 31st, 2015. Now, this is a Tuesday which is normally the day that games release in the United States so it's a credible date. We personally checked four separate Gamestop locations and their in store computers show the same date as well.
