The Dwarves lands on Kickstarter, gets new trailer ahead of PS4/Xbox One release

Developer KING Art Games has announced that their new tactical RPG The Dwarves, which will be releasing on Xbox One, PS4 and PC, has landed on Kickstarter as they seek the final portion of funding for the game's development.

The Dwarves, a single player story driven game,  was initially revealed at Gamescom and debuted a new physics based combat system. You'll need to be aware of your entire surroundings as if the character behind you gets hit, he may very well get bumped into you and throw off your balance. You will follow the story of young Tungdil Goldhand, a dwarf raised among humans, who embarks on a journey to find his lost origin. On his quest, Tungdil will meet up to 12 companions who can join his party, all with individual skills and their own backstory. Of those 12, you will be able to choose four at any given point to go into battle with. Strategy and patience will be key as you will need to pick the fighters with the right abilities in order for you to succeed.

The Dwarves will feature a changing, dynamic map as well. You will be able to travel to over 200 locations, where you will face enemy troops and varied quests. Your decisions will influence the story so you will need to pick and choose your battles wisely. For example, if you choose to attempt to rescue a village with the wrong group of fighters, you may fail causing the inhabitants to be massacred.

As of now, the game has raised $85,000 of its $250,000 goal in a single day and there are 36 days remaining in the Kickstarter program. The Dwarves has no official release date as of yet and only a window of 2016 for all platforms; PS4, Xbox One and PC.
