Ubisoft has announced Ghost Recon: Wildlands brand new PvP mode Ghost War is available now in open beta. It will be temporary, and last through Monday, September 25th at 6 AM est.

The Ghost War mode will see two teams of four players against each other in eight different maps. Five of these maps will be available during the beta. There will be 12 different character classes in Ghost War, and each one is different from your standard campaign character. This means you'll need to start over, and of course proper team setup will be key to survival.

Each team will have a recon tower, and you'll want to turn your enemy's on for your advantage. This will instantly give away every position of your enemy's team, so you'll want to make sure you defend yours as well. You can download the beta now, even if you don't currently own Ghost Recon: Wildlands. The mode will release in full later this fall, but that will only be for owners of the game at that time.

Check out the trailer below, and let us know what you think of this new 4v4, open-world competitive mode.
