New patch brings new god and major changes to Smite on Xbox One

The Rising Dawn patch has finally arrived on Xbox One's version of Smite and with it comes a host of new changes as well as a brand new character.

Although already on the PC version, Xbox One players will now be able to use the giant scarab Khapri. More of a defensive fighter, Khapri will be able to defend his teammates with his ultimate attack prohibiting their death. A spectator mode has also been added but there's a catch. The feature is listed as being in beta and allows  you the ability to watch only live, in progress matches. They will be limited to people on your friends list and a patch that will "come soon" will allow you to view archived matches as well.

Nearly every single god in the game has had changes applied to them, including Al Puch being nerfed yet again as he's just way too strong. Some other mentionable changes include the season ticket option which is now purchasable with gems and allows you to earn fantasy points, new god skins as well as a major visual change to Loki.

The Smite blog has the full list of features listed so be sure to check out the changes for your god of choice. The patch is available now and will be downloaded automatically on Xbox One with instant on enabled. Smite is available as a free to play title on both PC and Xbox One now.
